BOHOL - Island Paradise

Bohol is the Province of the eighth president of the Republic of the Philippines (1957–1961) Carlos P. Garcia,  who was born in Talibon, Bohol. 

 Pintados or “tattooed ones are known to be descendants of the last group of inhabitants who settled in the Philippines.

The Sandugo Festival is a yearly historical celebration in Tagbilaran City. It is a 16th Century peace treaty occurred on March 16, 1565 through a blood compact between Datu Sikatuna, who is a chieftain in Bohol, and Spanish conquistador Miguel López de Legazpi.

Philippine tarsier is very peculiar small animal which could be found, only in the province of Samar, Leyte, Bohol, and Mindanao.
