Those interested in participating need to be aware that there are three key categories of race: 10 km race, 21 km race and 42 km run . People get to choose the race, they are more comfortable , with the remaining 42 km largely preserve pro riders. Usually the Batanes Winter Marathon starts at 5:30 am , which works well for most participants because it means we can work well before it becomes too hot.
Eligibility to participate in the marathon requires pre-registration and payment before Batanes Winter Marathon. Otherwise it will void your accommodation. Look out for the next race to be held February 21, 2016. Go ahead and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the route in the beautiful hills Batanes.
