Cinemalaya 2011

9 films will compete in the New Breed full length feature category and 10 in the Short feature category, while 4 in the Directors Showcase.

Ang Babae sa Septic Tank (The Woman in the Septic Tank) journals a day in the life of three aspiring, affectionate but misguided filmmakers as they set out to do a quick pre-prod at Starbucks, a politeness call to their lead actress, Eugene Domingo, and an ocular inspection of their film's major location, the Payatas dumpsite.

Roy, Jr. and Jerome Zamora; Cuchera by Joseph Israel M. Laban; I-libings: Your Loss, Our Luck (E-funerals) by Rommel Andreo Sales;  Nino by Loy Arcenas; Amok (Amok) by Lawrence Fajardo; and Teoriya (Father's Way) by Alistaire Christian E. Chan.

Santos, Hanapbuhay (Source of Living) by Henry Frejas, Debut by Pamela Llanes Reyes, Hazard by Mikhail Red, Walang Katapusang Kwarto (An Endless Room) by Emerson Reyes, Oliver's Apartment by Misha Balangue, Samarito (Samaritan) by Rafael L. Santos, Un Diutay Mundo (One Small World) by Ana Carlyn V. Lim and Nino Bonito by Rommel "Milo" Tolentino.

The four finalists in the Directors Showcase are:  Busong (Palawan Fate) by Auraeus Solito; Bisperas (Eve) by Jeffrey Jeturian; Isda (Fable of the Fish) by Adolfo Alix Jr. and Patikul by Joel C. Lamangan.
