AirAsia Philippines is a low cost airline based in the Philippines. AirAsia Philippines will have its main base at Clark International Airport in Angeles City, Pampanga. The airline is the Philippine subsidiary of AirAsia, an airline based in Malaysia.
The airline is the result of collaboration between Filipino investors and AirAsia International Ltd, a subsidiary of AirAsia Inc. The collaboration was adopted on December 7, 2010 by the Office of Investment, a government agency responsible for approving large monetary investments.
History
Since the establishment of the Philippines have not been allowed registered businesses in the country with a Foreign participation 100%, the investor Malaysian Tony Fernandes reached a 40-60 partnership with a group of Filipino executives. The collaboration was adopted on December 7, 2010.
The August 15, 2011, AirAsia Philippines received its first and new aircraft livery, an Airbus A320 that came to Clark International Airport in Clark, Angeles City, Pampanga . On November 8, 2011, Phillipines AirAsia received its second A320.
On February 7, 2012, the airline received its Air Operator Certificate 3 of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines that allows the airline to fly in Philippine airspace.
On April 8, 2012, AirAsia Philippines reached an agreement with Victory Liner, one of the largest provincial bus companies operating in the Philippines to provide free shuttle passengers from Clark International Airport.

AirAsia Philippines started operations in March 2012 using two new Airbus 320-200. Currently, AirAsia Philippines serves four international and three domestic destinations: Kuala Lumpur, Kota Kinabalu, Hong Kong, Macau, Davao, Kalibo, and Puerto Princesa.
