Lucban Pahiyas Festival

It is celebrated every 15th of May to give gratitude to San Isidro Labrador for the urban area plentiful harvest with a majestic display of colorful rice wafers or kiping,  fruits, vegetables, and handicrafts decorating every residence in the town.
It is also believed that feasting would ensure another generous harvest ahead.

The town got its name from a fruit known as pomelo tree or lukban. Based on a legend of a three hunters who lost their way by following some wild animals at the foot of Mount Banahaw.
While resting under a tree, they saw a crow above it branches. These scenarios took them to move in another placed because of the bad omen believes. Then on that location, they were attracted to beautiful rhythmic tweets. The hunters took this sign as a good luck, and because they are under a Pomelo Tree. They named the place as "Lucban.".
