Galleon Andalucia-Dia del Galeon Festival

Last October 7 to 9 2010, Galleon Andalucia a 51 meter long spanish replica ship has been docked at Pier 13 in Manila South Harbor for the Dia del Galeon Festival.

The Ship was a 51 meter long by 40feet in height, comprising of six decks with a usable floor area of 320 square meters and three masts with seven sails.

galeon tradeFor 250 years from 1565 to 1815, the Manila galleons were a channel for global trade and cultural exchange between Europe, the New World and Asia.
