Mindanao-The Land of Promise

The Lumad is a Cebuano term meaning "native" or "indigenous" and being used to denote a group of indigenous peoples of Mindanao, Philippines.

Lumad are categorized into two which is Katawhan Lumad and Kalagan
Katawhan Lumad tribes are B'laan, Kaulo, Manobo, Subanon or Subanen, Higaonon
while Kalagan tribes are Mamanwa, Mandaya, Mansaka, Sangil, Subanon, Tagabawa, Tasaday, T'boli
Moro (Moors) used by Spaniards to describe Muslim natives. There are ten Moro ethnic groups as follows; Maguindanao, Maranao, Tausug, Samal, Banguingui, Sangil, Bajau, Illanun, Yakan ,and Kalagan.


Travel to Mindanao : Is It Safe ?

Yes, Mindanao is a safe destination for your travel. But, there are some serious exceptions, though some parts of Mindanao are extremely dangerous, while the majority is truly heaven. Take some caution on isolated places like Basilan, Sulu and Cotabato where always top on the news highlights.

While Best Places are Davao, Camuigin, Cagayan de Oro, Samal, Butuan, Ozamiz, and other tourist spot destination where travel agency already assigned for booking.

Bottom line is, being a tourist in mindanao natural beauty will be something special that you can't forget for a lifetime and urge you to come back again and again.
